The representatives of the Agency for Spatial and Urban Planning of the Republic of Serbia participated in a training entitled ”Urban Management and Sustainable Development” held from 14 to 18 October, 2024 in Paris. The training provided a clear overview of contemporary approach to urban planning, taking into account ”green” principles.
The Training was organised by the National Institute of Public Services (Institut national du service public – INSP) and the Paris Urbanism Agency (Atelier parisien d’urbanisme – APUR).
Numerous topics were covered on the occassion, including public spaces, energy efficiency, climate change, databases, transportation, housing and implementation of projects related to the 2024 Summer Olympic Games.
The participation of Ms Tijana Živanović Milić, Head of the Group for International Cooperation in the Agency for Spatial and Urban Planning of the Republic of Serbia, and Ms Mirjana Spasić, Head of the Department for Urban Planning, Housing-Utility, Construction and Property-Legal Affairs in the Municipality of Surdulica, was sponsored by Cooperation Service of the French Embassy in Serbia.
The training gathered participants from three continents: Europe (Croatia, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria and Azerbaijan), Africa (Tunisia, Kenya and Uganda) and South America (Brazil and The Argentine).
